This king size headboard was part of a remarkable historic sleigh bed that was ready to be discarded, but it was saved and upcycled. Mike Macon of Just Repurposed in Hanceville, AL transformed the headboard into a stunning lounge chair with storage space!Mike utilized a hand saw, screws, and a little TLC to complete a few basic measurements! He divided the headboard in thirds and used a saw to cut out a back and two side arms.
Mike then installed the additional wooden beams for back-corner supports. He also included a wooden platform for a seat with an upholstered cloth seat cover.Mike chose Dixie Belle Paint in the color Driftwood to coat all of the wood on the new chair once it was finished.
